Easter - Encountering God in Resurrection!

We encounter God’s triumphant power in Jesus’ empty tomb. Mary Magdalene encountered the resurrected Jesus and shared this news with the disciples. We who God chooses to be witnesses are raised with Christ to the miracle of new life. We rejoice in glad song!

Please join us for Sunday morning service at 9:30am followed by brunch. Everyone is welcome!

Lent 6 - Encountering God In Celebration & Suffering

We encounter God in jubilant praise and with broken bread. The people of Jerusalem encountered Jesus’ triumphal entry with celebration and hosannas—whether sincere or misguided. The disciples encountered Jesus in the act of breaking bread together. We witness the complexities of God’s plan and how God’s immeasurable love becomes revealed to us over time.

Worship begins at 10:45am, with Sunday School and coffee time beginning at 9:30am. Everyone is welcome.

Lent 5 - Encountering God Can Bring New Life

We encounter God in our mortality and our need for renewal. God replenished the “dry bones” of Israel, and Jesus brought Lazarus back to life. As we breathe, we witness God’s breath, which restores creation. We wait with hopefulness for resurrection.

Worship begins at 10:45am, with Sunday School and coffee time beginning at 9:30am. Everyone is welcome.

Lent 4 - Encountering God Opens Our Eyes To See In New Ways

Like the blind climber Randy Pierce and his guide dog Quinn, we encounter God in unexpected ways.  Jesus anoints the blind man’s eyes with mud and his life is turned upside down. We witness the surprising ways God’s work is revealed, and we respond to God’s call for our lives.  Nothing can be the same again when Jesus walks by.

Worship begins at 10:45am, with Sunday School and coffee time beginning at 9:30am. Everyone is welcome.

Lent 3 - Encountering God Satisfies and Sustains

Special Guest Craig Neufeld [Rosthern Mennonite Church] will help us encounter God through nourishment that meets our needs. The Israelites drank water that God provided from a rock in the desert, and the Samaritan woman received Jesus’ living water at the well. In our thirst, we witness God’s miraculous provision.

Worship begins at 10:45am, with Sunday School and coffee time beginning at 9:30am. Everyone is welcome.

Lent 2 - Encountering God in New Places

Special guest, Ken Hawkley of Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary (AMBS), will talk about the cost of trying to be faithful and in accepting God’s grace. Grace is given freely, but it does require us to give things up - sometimes more than we are willing to. Encounters with God tend to take us to new places, and those places are not always comfortable.

Worship begins at 10:45am, with Sunday School and coffee time beginning at 9:30am. Everyone is welcome.

Lent 1 - Encountering God In Temptations

Please join us this Sunday - March 9 - to begin our Lenten series. This week, we will acknowledge how we have closed our eyes to God. As we witness Jesus resisting temptation, we can open ourselves to God’s redemption and strength.

Worship begins at 10:45am, with Sunday School and coffee time beginning at 9:30am. Everyone is welcome.
