This Sunday, we’re going to be starting off our fall sermon series, “Why Church?” It’s no secret that church participation has fallen dramatically over the last 50 years, with huge declines across all denominations since COVID. With stories of clergy abuse and Christian Nationalism filling the news, it’s little wonder that people are asking question, “Why should I be a part of a church?” This week, we’ll talk about some of the forces that have shaped this change in church life and where hope is found.
