Why doesn’t God do something?  That is perhaps the most frequent question that people ask.  Tragedies happen.  Pandemics invade.  Accidents devastate lives.  Bullies crush the human spirit and seem to get away with it.  Weeds seem dispensable, but their removal destroys the wheat. "Things are seldom as they seem. Skim milk masquerades as cream," Buttercup sings to Captain Corcoran in Gilbert and Sullivan's comic opera "HMS Pinafore."   What shall we do with the weeds?
This parable, as so many of the parables in Matthew 13, is all about waiting and waiting is what we all find so difficult.
