Christmas is the time when we tell stories, the essential stories for our lives of faith. The first story-tellers in Luke’s gospel were the shepherds, down and outers who received the first invitation to worship the Christ-child. And, they became the first evangelists, telling the story of the angels, the manger, and the baby to anyone who would listen. And ‘all those who heard them were astonished.’
